Moment 3 Scared Chihuahuas Start to Trust Rescue Worker Is So Moving

Each dog slowly warmed up to her.

When a dog is surrendered to a shelter from a family they are usually scared and nervous. The shelter smells differently than home, there are other dogs barking and cats meowing. They don't know where their family has gone and why they have left them.

@Katieandthesnoots volunteers at the KC Pet Project and recently posted this wonderful video demonstrating how with a little patience you can male surrendered dogs start to trust again. Get your tissues ready!

We just love this video so much! It's amazing how when Katie first arrives you can see these puppers in a totally terrified body posture with their ears down and by the end of the video she succeeds in getting all these precious pups onto her lap, just with talking softly to them and letting them come to her. That's love right there.

@Davidreid753 sadly comments, "Hated Chihuahuas until my niece gave me hers and I had her for 19 years. I cried like a baby when she passed. Her name was 'Chee Wee'. " Awwwww, our hearts! @Baltimorerealtor adds, "Chis are the absolute best dogs ever!" @Samanthahall replies, "Thats so awesome of you to love these babies. They just need love and attention. Prayers for those babies."
