Montrose hosts its annual county fair and rodeo
MONTROSE, Colo. (KREX) – Do you or someone you know is looking for something to do this week to enjoy? Well, it so happens that the Montrose County Fair and Rodeo is happening right now.
The Montrose County Fair kicked off late last week, but there’s still a lot to enjoy at the event. Including delicious food, livestock shows and even a thrilling action rodeo. Organizers say their biggest reward is seeing community members come together to have a good time.
Chad Dunlap, Montrose County Fair Board president states, “It’s very rewarding to the fair board because we put a lot of time and effort. So, from the time this fair will end we immediately start planning the fair for next year (and) to see our community members come out and support the youth of this community in this setting. It’s heart touching and means a lot to these kids because they put a lot of time and energy into these 4-H projects and just seeing those community members come out and support them. It solidifies their efforts.”
The Montrose County Fair and Rodeo continues through Saturday. There are some fun activities coming up: Friday night will feature bucket bull riding, while Saturday brings the junior livestock auction.
