‘Moved’ Maggie Wheeler Applauds ‘Friends’ Stars’ Matthew Perry Tributes

Maggie Wheeler

Maggie Wheeler is just as touched by the rest of the world by the Friends' cast's recently published tributes for their late costar, Matthew Perry.

After taking some much-needed time to process and grieve Perry's sudden death at 54, his "chosen family" took to Instagram, one after another, to post their personalized tributes, striking an emotional chord with all of us as they opened their hearts in his honor.

Wheeler, who played Perry's Chandler Bing's longtime on-again, off-again girlfriend Janice on the hit sitcom, took a moment to reflect on the heartfelt words each actor published on Nov. 16, sharing how "moved" she was to be reading them.

"I’m so moved this morning as I read the beautiful tributes left here on Instagram by @jenniferaniston @mleblanc @courteneycoxofficial , @lisakudrow @_shwim_and others," she began, posting a collage of screenshots of herself and Perry on the show.

"Matthew’s loss is and will continue to be felt so deeply by all who knew and loved him and that love is magnified by the millions of Friends fans who have so much love for Chandler Bing ??."

Wheeler was one of the first castmembers to speak out following Perry's sudden death on Oct. 28, posting a sweet photo of their characters looking into each other's eyes with a smile.

"What a loss. The world will miss you Mathew Perry," she wrote at the time. "The joy you brought to so many in your too short lifetime will live on. I feel so very blessed by every creative moment we shared. ??."

While the core cast members issued a brief, joint statement around the same time, it wasn't until nearly three weeks later that they were able to put their full thoughts into words. Between Nov. 14 and Nov. 15, Matt LeBlanc, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, and Lisa Kudrow each posted their last messages to their "little brother," who passed away following what appears to be a tragic accident at home, though his cause of death remains pending at this time.
