This Is the Music Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson Are Playing While in Isolation
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are still in isolation in Australia, after it was confirmed that they had both tested positive for coronavirus. However, they're both staying positive, and finding ways to pass the time. Wilson in particular has thrown herself into the task of curating the perfect themed playlist for their prolonged lockdown period, taking to Twitter to crowdsource suggestions.
"Hi guys!I want to make a @Spotify playlist for people self quarantining," she wrote in a tweet on Friday. "Something that might relate to isolation, perhaps? Can you send some song ideas that I can add? Also, what should we call it?Quarantine Choruses? This is what one does in quarantine. U think of stuff like this."
The suggestions came pouring in, and it wasn't long before Wilson shared the final playlist on Twitter, with a puntastic title: "Quarantunes".
The puns also extend to the song choices on the playlist, which include "Locked Up," Dancing With Myself," "All By Myself", "I Will Survive," "I Want to Break Free," "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)", "Night Fever," "U Can't Touch This" and "Stuck With You." Wilson, who is a singer/songwriter as well as an actress, also added a few of her own hits to the playlist, including "Sometimes Love" and "Grateful."
Wilson's stint at playing DJ came after husband Hanks shared an update with fans on their progress. "We are taking it one-day-at-a-time," he said. "There are things we can all do to get through this by following the advice of experts and taking care of ourselves and each other, no? Remember, despite all the current events, there is no crying in baseball."
