Nail artist makes an actual snow globe manicure — water, glitter, and all
The nail salon that created an aquarium manicure is back with another take on the glass tank. For the holidays, a technician at Nail Sunny created a real-life snow globe on a customer’s nails — and it’s as crazy as it sounds.
An Instagram video of the look shows the process from start to finish, including the addition of water and glitter at the end.

Through the same curing process used to make the circular fish tank, the artist created a hard-shelled globe structure to place over a painted nail, which serves as the winter wonderland backdrop. The cured shell was then placed on top in order to give the magnified globe effect. Paint was added around it to create more dimension and hold for the globe. And lastly, fluid and glitter were injected through a hole on the side to provide the mesmerizing movement in the globe.
Both the video tutorial and the photos of the look have garnered a large response, as the Moscow-based salon encourages followers to vote on whether they like the crazy nail art or not. But if it’s not something that you’re into for yourself, the Instagram page provides more inspiration for holiday nails.

The exceptional artistry that the salon is known for may be difficult for your local nail technician to achieve, but it’s worth a shot to ask for some other festive flair for your nails.
