Naomi Campbell Stars in Her First Calvin Klein Campaign Alongside Bella Hadid, Diplo and More
Watch them all pose suggestively in their underwear.
When a model's career spans over three decades, it's easy to assume she's worked for just about everyone. And while Naomi Campbell's resumé is about as prolific as they get, there was apparently one iconic brand missing from it: Calvin Klein. Oddly, she's never been captured for one of the brand's many underwear and denim campaigns — until now.
The supe-turned-YouTuber has a starring role in the brand's newest #MyCalvins campaign, alongside a diverse cast of characters including Bella Hadid, Diplo, Odell Beckham Jr., Jacob Elordi, Beth Ditto, Lay Zhang, Jelly Lin, Hayley Foster, Abby Champion, Cara Taylor and Matthew Noszka. Bardia Zeinali directs them in a video that sees them posing suggestively for their webcams, dancing, watching TV and eating snacks, all while the camera gets plenty of closeups of their...Calvins.
They each also posed for stills by Daniel Jackson. Named "#MYCALVINS IRL," the campaign is meant to showcase a stripped-down (literally and figuratively), unfiltered and, of course, sexy side of these stars. In the images, a posed, black-and-white photo is juxtaposed with a more relaxed color photo — the latter evidently representing the "IRL" side.
"The campaign brings to life the playful and pure perspective of sexy; one that encourages self-expression and underscores the idea that sexy is a state of mind," reads a press release.
The message is not too dissimilar from past #MyCalvins campaigns, but this season's cast features a touch more age and size diversity than we've noticed in the past, ensuring that these visuals — which are targeted to social media but will also have some billboard moments — have a wide reach.
