For hockey fan, Morgan Landsberg, it was a dream come true to be able to snap a photo of her favorite Nashville Predators player, Viktor Arvidsson. However, little did Landsberg know, she was about to capture another moment with her camera—one she couldn’t have imagined.

Conor Payne reportedly turned to Predators forward Arvidsson for help in asking his longtime love, Landsberg, to marry him. As Arvidsson walked through the Lexus Lounge of the Bridgestone Arena, making his way towards the ice rink for the big game against the Anaheim Ducks on December 2, he put up his hand to block Landsberg’s attempt at photographing him. On Arvidsson’s ungloved hand, specifically his right pinkie finger, was a cushion-cut diamond ring that he handed to Landsberg. The cut was confirmed by Predators defenseman P.K. Subban, which you can hear in the video below.

Once Landsberg saw the ring and realized what was going on, Payne appeared on one knee, asking her for her hand in marriage. Arvidsson’s fiancé, Moa Norberg, caught the sweet proposal on camera. The Predators later posted it to their Twitter account.

"When we started dating, she said it's always been a dream of hers to get proposed to at the Predators game," Payne told NHL.com. "Then, working with the team they really helped us out and kind of put things into place."

As you can see in the video, the hockey assist was successful. Landsberg emphatically said, "yes," drawing cheers from the crowd and the parade of players in the lounge.

"I was overwhelmed," Landsberg said. "I wanted a picture with Viktor Arvidsson and I didn't even realize he was giving me a ring until I turned around. It was just...it was amazing. I had no idea."

"It was a fun thing," Arvidsson added. "She got very happy, I think. I didn't stick around for that long, but it was fun."

The Preds went on to defeat the Ducks on Saturday night in a 3-2 score shootout, but Landsberg also scored some major ice as well.
