Nathan Fillion Applauds Fan's 'Classy Move' After Being Recognized on a Flight
Nathan Fillion
Nathan Fillion probably made one special fan's day after he showcased their clever and respectful gesture during a flight on his social media in a surprise callout.
The Rookie actor took to Instagram to write, "Classy moves, Alyssa. Classy moves," in response to a note a fan delivered to him on a flight. He shared a photo taken on the plane of the note, written on what looks to be the back of a printed-out plane ticket, which read, "I didn't want to out you, but wanted to say that you were fantastic as Captain Hammer. Respectfully, Alyssa."
The note referenced one of Fillion's lesser-known roles, as the actor played the superhero nemesis of Neil Patrick Harris' Dr. Horrible in the internet miniseries Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog that came out in 2008.
One fan predicted that Alyssa might be having a freakout after getting called out on Fillion's social media, while many joined in praising the woman for her smart way of getting a message to the star.
"Incredibly classy and Herculean restraint- well played, Alyssa, bless!!!??," wrote a fan, as actress Jenna Dewan, who co-stars with Fillion in Rookie, reacted, "Wait this is incredible. How classy Alyssa! ??."
Another complimented both Alyssa and the actor, writing, "Full class from Alyssa, and smart move sharing to encourage more people to do this rather than mob their heroes."
Many more fans shared whether or not they think they'd be able to be subtle and smooth like the fan in this situation, as others debated which of Fillion's many memorable roles they would've mentioned.
A few of the most-talked-about roles were Richard Castle of Castle, Joey Buchanan from One Life to Live, and Captain Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds from the sci-fi classic Firefly. The popular actor currently leads the crime drama The Rookie, which first started in 2018 and just began airing season 6.
