NBC Reveals Blake Shelton's Replacement for Season 24 of 'The Voice'
As The Voice goes live tonight with only two more episodes left in Blake Shelton’s time on the singing competition, NBC finally revealed who will be filling his red swivel chair next season.
At today’s upfront presentation, NBC announced that this season’s Mega Mentor Reba McEntire will be the newest coach on the show.

She will be joined by veteran coach John Legend and returning coaches Niall Horan and Gwen Stefani.
McEntire is no stranger to The Voice. She was there in season 1 when she served as an advisor to Blake’s team, she coached contestants during season 8, and, of course, she was the Mega Mentor for Season 23, a nice way of segueing her into the coaching position.

It had been rumored earlier that the move of Kelly Clarkson’s talk show to New York City might preclude her returning to The Voice, and that is now the case – at least for Season 24.

Blake announced his retirement from the show last December, writing: ““I’ve decided that it’s time for me to step away from The Voice after season 23. This show has changed my life in every way for the better and it will always feel like home to me. It’s been a hell of a ride over these 12 years of chair turns and I want to thank everyone at The Voice from NBC, every producer, the writers, musicians, crew and catering people, you are the best. It takes a lot of work, passion, and adult beverages (Ha!) to pull off a live show twice a week.”
The Voice Season 24 will return this fall. The exact date is TBD.
