NC brewery expands with Lake Norman taproom in this hopping downtown
High Branch Brewing Co. in Concord expanded on Friday with the opening of a taproom in downtown Mooresville.
The popular brewery marked the occasion with the release of a special hazy IPA called 252 North Main. It’s a “dry hopped with El Dorado, Citra, and New Zealand Cascade,” the brewery said on Instagram. “We get fresh berries, light piney bitterness, and stone fruit. Incredibly smooth.“
The new taproom, at 252 N. Main St., includes 10 taps with brews crafted at its Concord location, plus wine, cider and cans to go. Non-alcoholic selections also are available, along with burgers table-side from nearby Bae’s Burgers.
“We are stoked for you to join us!” the brewery posted on Facebook Friday. “We could not be happier.”
The brewery looked in the Lake Norman area for an additional taproom location for a couple of years, owner T.J. Creighton told The Charlotte Observer in November.
“We live in the area and wanted something close to home,” he said.
Creighton said he was “really impressed” with how Mooresville revitalized its downtown.
“There are so many events there, and they seem to really support the community.”
