Nestlé Toll House Is Selling Chocolate-Covered Cookie Dough Bites
Nestlé Toll House set the internet ablaze earlier this month when its new ready-to-bake Hocus Pocus cookie dough was spotted in grocery stores. Inside each 14-oz. package is oatmeal peanut butter cookie dough with chocolate morsels, as well as candy-coated gems in three colors in honor of the immortal Sanderson sisters: Winifred, Sarah, and Mary.
The only downside—if it's possible to have a downside when Hocus Pocus and cookies are mentioned in the same sentence—is that the label warns against eating the cookie dough raw. Nestlé Toll House was actually one of the very first in-store brands to venture into the brave new frontier of edible cookie dough, making the move all the more surprising.
Thankfully, Toll House only waited about five seconds to drop another new cookie creation, and this one is safe to eat raw. Not only is its Bite-Sized Chocolate Chip Edible Cookie Dough safe to eat raw but also you can pop it in your mouth straight out of a resealable package. Chocolate lovers will really love this treat, because each poppable chocolate chip cookie dough piece is covered in a chocolatey shell. Equally good, they have no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives.
You'll soon be able to find 20-oz. sharable bags—if you don't eat the whole bag in one sitting—for a suggested retail price of $9.98. (You really should try to save some to bake into a cheesecake or top off an ice cream sundae. The possibilities are endless, folks!) After an initial launch this October at select Sam's Club locations, it will roll out at new stores in the new year.
