Never-Before-Seen Photos of Lilly Pulitzer's Life Have Been Revealed in a New Book

Lilly Pulitzer is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, and in honor of the occasion, the beloved brand has released a new book with Assouline highlighting the founder's life and the rise of Lilly's signature style.

The coffee table book, which is simply titled Lilly Pulitzer, includes nearly 300 pages of rare photos of designer Lilly Pulitzer's life and gives us an inside look at the fascinating early days of the now-iconic brand-including the story of how Pulitzer founded the company while working a juice stand. The book also highlights the rise of the first Lilly dress-the shift-along with how the brand developed its signature prints and bold colors that fans know and love today.

Two editions of the book have been released: a standard version and a special edition featuring four different covers, each of which has a special Lilly print designed for the occasion. Written by fashion journalist and historian Nancy MacDonell, the book also features a touching forward written by Liza Pulitzer, Lilly's daughter.
