New 'Teen Mom' star Bristol Palin confirms divorce, says she's 'single forever lezzbereal'
While rumors have been circulating that Bristol Palin and former Marine Dakota Meyer split since February, she only confirmed the news on Wednesday revealing that the couple is “freshly divorced.”
Meyer, who allegedly filed for the divorce on January 29 in Texas less than two years after their wedding, listed “discord or conflict of personalities” as the reason for their split on the papers. The documents went on to say such discord “destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation.”
The mother-of-three made the news official when she answered a question on her Instagram that asked, “Are you dating?”
She replied, “freshly divorced & single forever lezzbereal (I am not ready to date),” despite rumors that the two reconciled in May.
The daughter of 2008 vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin had her son Tripp, when she was 17, with her former fiancé, Levi Johnston. Bristol and Meyer have two daughters together.
As previously reported, Bristol will star in the new season of MTV’s Teen Mom OG. She previously appeared on Dancing with the Stars in 2010, where she placed third in the competition, and then documented her young motherhood in 2012 on Lifetime’s Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp.

Fans of the MTV show were not pleased that the 27-year-old would be joining the cast. Regardless, Bristol says that she is excited to share her experiences with those who choose to tune into the new season, which has already begun filming. Even mom, Sarah, supports her daughter being on the show telling TMZ that “she’s gonna become a great messenger for overcoming a little bit of challenge and doing well in life.”
