The NFL star has opened up about his one pre-game must-have on several occasions over the years, and apparently, he's still standing by it! It's a somewhat unexpected, yet yummy, breakfast/brunch item: French toast.
He first revealed his love for the very specific meal in 2020, telling Men's Journal, "On game day, you want to carb up, so I have the energy I need for the game. French toast [gets] my blood sugar going [and gets] some carbs in."
Doubling down on his go-to choice, the 34-year-old responded to a social media query by actor Rob Riggle, who asked Kelce on X (formerly Twitter), "what’s your fav pre-game meal? Need to know so I can chow down in solidarity on Sunday!"
“French toast!!!” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end emphatically responded at the time.
Making it clear yet again last year, Kelce told Inside Hook: “Every pre-game meal has been French toast and strawberries since I’ve been on the Chiefs."
The pro athlete joined the Chiefs organization in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft and later won Super Bowls LIV and LVII with the team, recording a touchdown reception in both wins—so by the looks of it, his food ritual is tried-and-true, as he has kept the tradition going for quite some time now (an entire decade and 11 football seasons, to be exact).

Amongst meals he hasn't noted consuming prior to hitting the field, though, are fast food burgers when on the go, and he swears the best one can be found at none other than Burger King.
Food preferences aside, the Catching Kelce reality show alum has had his dating life thrown back into the spotlight as of late, as rumors swirl regarding a possible budding romance between himself and Taylor Swift.
