  • Nicole Curran has responded to the viral video of her talking to Jay-Z while Beyoncé looks less than thrilled.

  • Nicole explains she was simply asking for Jay-Z's drink order, and says she's been getting death threats due to the incident.

Chances are you had no idea who Nicole Curran was before yesterday, right? Yeah, well she's become a household name over night thanks to a viral video of Beyoncé looking all kinds of pissed about her talking to Jay-Z. And now Nicole is speaking out. But let's rewind for a sec.

On Wednesday night, Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z were spotted court-side at Game 3 of the NBA Finals in Oakland, and Twitter absolutely blew up over a clip of Jay chatting to Nicole, who was sitting next to Beyoncé. Mostly because she leaned right TF over Queen Bey to talk with Jay, and-judging from her facial expression and a well-placed nudge-Beyoncé wasn't pleased. The fan reaction was pretty intense, so here's just a taste:

Now, Nicole has explained exactly what was going on in this video-responding to a fan's comment on her now-deactivated Instagram account and saying "Listen Beehive, I respect Queen B. I love her! I talked to her husband twice tonight. First, to take a drink order for them both when they arrived as they were our guests. Second, to explain why I gave his wife a rose from a fan. All of this has been taken out of context. I am a happily married woman. Telling me to kill myself?????? Somehow I don’t think she would support this.”

Nicole also talked to ESPN reporter Ramona Shelburne, confirming again that Bey and Jay were guests of her and her husband Joe Lacob (who owns the Golden State Warriors) and that their convo was completely innocent. "There was no hostility," she said. "I was trying to be a good hostess. I’ve never experienced cyber bullying like this. I can’t believe our players go through this. That kids go through this.“

Welp that settles that. Time to move on, internet.
