  • Nicole Kidman left a Golden Globes event just 15 minutes after she showed up.

  • Nicole was reportedly very upset over the Australian wildfires that are threatening her home.

According to eyewitnesses, Nicole Kidman was seen crying at a Golden Globes event because she's stressed over the wildfires that are currently ravaging Australia, where she shares a home with her husband, Keith Urban. Sadly, Nicole's tears are totally understandable.

Us Weekly first reported the news, and claimed that Nicole found out about the fires just before touching down at the event on Saturday. “She just found out and got off a plane right before coming here,” the source shared. “She was crying walking in.” As Nicole stopped for interviews, she allegedly told a reporter, “I’m so sorry. I’m so distracted right now with everything that’s happening in Australia.”

Before you go out of your mind with worry for Nicole, please know that her home is okay for the time being. Her rep later reached out to Us to clarify, and said that “their house is not on fire. It is under threat, so keeping a close eye on it.”

Despite the upsetting news, Nicole appeared to be calm and collected when she arrived. “She was very poised, taking photos and talking with Joey King and Josh Dallas. She had a whole crowd around her and no one knew what she had just experienced," the source added. "It was sad to watch but also showed how professional she is to still show up and do what is required of her.” Nicole ended up leaving the event after 15 minutes.

The news came just a day after Nicole and Keith announced that they were going to be donating $500,000 to help those affected by the fires. “Our family’s support, thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by the fires all over Australia," they wrote via Instagram. "We are donating $500,000 to the Rural Fire Services who are all doing and giving so much right now."
