'Night Court' Star Richard Moll Dead at 80

Richard Moll, the beloved actor known for his role on the NBC sitcom Night Court, has died. He was 80.
Moll died peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 26, at his home in Big Bear Lake, California, a family spokesperson confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter. A cause of death has not been shared at this time.
Among his most notable credits, Moll starred as bailiff Aristotle Nostradamus “Bull” Shannon on all nine seasons of Night Court's run. The show was nominated three times for the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series.
Moll—who appeared on all but one of the show's 193 episodes between 1984 and 1992—famously came up with the catchphrase "Oooo-kay" during his stint on the sitcom, which also starred Harry Anderson, John Larroquette, Charlie Robinson and Markie Post.
Additionally, he also played an abominable snowman in 1981's Caveman, and portrayed a Vietnam veteran in the 1986 horror film House.
Moll also did extensive voiceover work throughout his career, including the voice of Two-Face in Batman: The Animated Series and Batman: The Brave and the Bold.
His most recent film credits include Slay Belles (2018), For Play (2017) and Circus Kane (2017).
Fans online are already reacting to the sad news of Moll's death, including one user who wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "I have watched him forever! he will be missed."
"This one hurts my heart," another user tweeted. "I watched Night Court every night as a little kid. Bull was my favorite part. I know he do [sic] so many other things but he was always Bull to me."
"Sad loss," someone else chimed in. "He was a lot of fun. RIP, Richard."
