New nonprofit free clothing pantry in Calumet County hosts grand opening

STOCKBRIDGE, Wis. (WFRV) – A free clothing pantry has opened in Calumet County, and everyone is welcome, whether you make one dollar or a million dollars.

Swap and Shop held its grand opening on Thursday. It provides services to the school districts of Calumet County and accepts new and used clothing to give to anyone who needs it.

“We’re really trying to do away with the stigma or stereotype that ‘Oh, it must be for people in need,'” said Lisa Meyer, Swap and Shop’s Executive Director. “If you make a dollar or a million dollars, come on in. This shop’s for you.”

Aside from clothing, the pantry offers personal hygiene items and basic foods.
