Nothing will touch you quite like seeing this boy listen to his late mother's voice for Christmas
A young boy will be able to listen to his late mom’s voice whenever he needs a reminder of the love she had for him.
Antonio Vargas gave his son a stuffed talking monkey for Christmas. While it may seem like a simple toy, it was, in fact, a very special gift — the talking monkey’s voice is that of the child’s mother, who passed away in July.
The Orlando father shared his loving gift on a Facebook post. He captioned the post: “This is a real big touching moment as a parent prepping this monkey to have a heartbeat and to speak to my son, so that my son can hear his mother’s voice again. She passed away on 4th of July. We always called our son our little monkey. So on Christmas Day, his dream came true!!! I love my little man with all my heart, Daddy loves you.”
Every time Vargas’s son presses the stuffed monkey’s hands, feet, and belly, a voice recording of his late mother will say: “I love you to the world and back,” and “Give me a big hug, I love you,” or “I love you guys so much and I will always love you,” and “Tell him Mommy loves him.”
In the video, Vargas is at his local toy store custom-building the monkey, then surprising his adorable son with the gift. When his son opens the gift, he quickly realizes that it’s his mom’s voice coming out of the stuffed animal and bursts into tears.
Vargas’s post went viral, quickly racking up over 3 million views and over 75,000 shares.
“This was so beautiful, I couldn’t do anything but cry. Hug him for me,” wrote a commenter. “I cried so hard watching this my son lost his dad to cancer at age five, what I wouldn’t give for him to hear his voice again. This was so touching and it made me cry. You are an amazing father, I pray for continued blessings for you and your son,” wrote another.
Vargas is an amazing father indeed.
