November’s Full Moon In Taurus Is Here To Help You Say What You Really Mean (Finally!)
On November 12, the Full Beaver Moon in Taurus is happening.
This full moon will help you speak your mind, but be wary of accidentally putting your foot in your mouth.
The moon will affect all zodiac signs, but Scorpio and Taurus will feel it the most.
In a perfect world, you’d say whatever comes to your mind without worrying about the consequences. But in reality, that can cause some September-fashion-mag-sized issues for you. Well, hold onto your tongue, because there’s a full moon in Taurus happening on November 12 that might cause some foot-in-mouth situations.
It’s called a Beaver Moon, and it’s going to rock your world a little, according to Donna Page, a certified astrologer in Atlanta. There’s a little more to the story than that, though. (Isn't there always?)
Here’s what your zodiac sign can expect from the Full Beaver Moon in Taurus and how it’s going to affect your future.
What is the Full Beaver Moon in Taurus exactly?
Astronomy 101 recap: The moon has different phases, and when the moon is full, it’s a big, round, Instagram-worthy circle in the sky. Full-moon names usually come from the Native Americans of North America, according to the Farmer’s Almanac.
Unfortunately, this full moon didn't get its name because beavers come out and do a special dance or anything (although that would be awesome). Instead, it signaled when it was time to set beaver traps before the swamps froze, to make sure everyone had a solid supply of furs to keep warm for the winter. Sorry, beavers.
How will this Full Moon in Taurus impact your zodiac sign?
You’re going to want to get your inner thoughts out, Page says, and that can be good or bad. On the one hand, everyone will know what you ~really~ think. (Hate your friend's new haircut? Yeah... they heard you loud and clear.)
On the other, Mercury is in retrograde, which means it’s way more likely than usual that what you say will make you backtrack—and fast. (It's not that you hate her new 'do, you just wouldn't choose it for, uh, yourself.)
At the same time, this full moon is going to stir up some serious passionate vibes for you. What do you really want? That question can seep into your love life as well, Page says, creating an inner struggle between wanting to form a deep connection with someone and wanting your freedom. So, in a perfect world, you’d have a super devoted S.O. who is available when you want them and not around when you’ve got other stuff going on. That’s totally realistic, right?
Speaking of passionate vibes, here's what your zodiac sign likes in bed (you're welcome):
You’ll also have little tolerance for B.S. Like, zero. "You’ll want to have real conversations that get to the heart of the matter," Page says. Basically, you might as well get a tee made now that says "Give it to me straight." This craving for the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth can cause a few uncomfortable moments, but it will ultimately bring you closer to the people around you, Page says.
The Full Moon in Taurus will affect all zodiac signs, but Scorpio and Taurus will feel this one the most, Page says.
How will the Full Beaver Moon impact your future?
Tbh, it could go a few ways. If nothing else, it’ll make you more honest, or at least make you realize how much you’ve been filtering what you say to people in your life. (Hey, maybe you don't need to sugarcoat it with your sibs, after all.)
You’ll also get a deeper sense of what’s driving you to do things and, really, that can only help your sense of self. On the flip side, you might have some unrealistic expectations for your relationship, and that can cause some friction in your love life (and not the good kind).
Try to keep yourself in check—just a little—and you should be fine.
When is the next full moon?
The next full moon is on December 12, in the sign of Gemini. During that full moon, you’ll be ready to shake things up a bit and be more spontaneous. (Weeee!)
Until then, go ahead and say what’s on your mind. Worst case, someone won’t like what you have to say. And really, that’s their problem.
