Ohio hiking trail named best in U.S.

LOGAN, Ohio (WJW) – Ohio has some great hiking trails but one trail has been ranked as the best in the U.S.
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources shared the news on their Facebook page and wrote, “Well, well, well…Hocking Hills State Park beat out some impressive hikes to claim the top spot.”

The list of the 10 Best Hiking Trails was compiled by USA Today. Top picks were first selected by a panel of experts and then voted on by readers, said the report.
The final rankings determined Whispering Cave 5-mile “Day Hike” loop at Hocking Hills State Park to be the best in the nation.
USA Today wrote, “This 5-mile loop is moderately challenging and offers hikers access to a fun swinging bridge, the second-largest cave in the region, and a picturesque seasonal waterfall.”
