Old Bay Bloody Mary Mix Exists And Is A Must For Boozy Brunch
Old Bay seasoning is a must-have when it comes to summer seafood boils, and the seasoning is so versatile it can be used on pretty much anything. This spice mix is so popular they turned it into a hot sauce, and now you can buy an Old Bay Bloody Mary mix that your brunch spread needs.
To put into perspective how popular Old Bay is, when the brand came out with a hot sauce, it sold out pretty much instantly. The five-ounce, 10-ounce, and huge 64-ounce bottles were all purchased, and some were even resold on eBay for way more than the original asking price. So, yeah, people really really love Old Bay, making this Bloody Mary mix an instant hit.

Bloody Marys are the vodka and tomato juice cocktail that can be mixed with all sorts of spices and garnishes. It's meant to be more of a savory drink, and when it comes to its accoutrements, basically nothing is off limits—just ask the Red Lobster version that comes with a cheddar bay biscuit and lobster claw. Old Bay and Bloody Mary's go hand-in-hand, but the mix itself might be hard to come across.
A photo by @Foodwiththebeasts on Instagram showed the mix next to some Old Bay hot sauce, but the Instagram user found the mix at a small local shop in Maryland rather than a national chain. "Living so close to the canal, and home of the blue crab, it's only fitting I'd find this hiding out at a cute little boutique called @brookbend in Elkton, Maryland," the caption said.
The good news is that while the mix may not be widely available at grocery stores and liquor stores, you can purchase it online through Amazon. You might have to wait a bit for it to ship out, but that gives you enough time to experiment with what toppings you'll add to your cocktail when the time comes. Practice makes perfect.
