Olivia Munn shares sweet photos of John Mulaney and their son Malcolm on a trip to Colorado
Olivia Munn shared photos from her and son Malcolm’s recent trip to show support for her partner John Mulaney.
Yesterday the Violet actress, who gave birth to Malcolm in November 2021, took to her Instagram Story to post pics of the family in Denver, where Mulaney was performing a comedy show on April 17 at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. In one photo, the Kid Gorgeous comedian holds up his young son, which Munn captioned #FBF for “flashback Friday.”
It wasn’t just Munn and Mulaney in the photos. The mom also revealed that the couple was hanging out with comedian Dan Levy, his wife and TV writer Rachel Specter and actor Seaton Smith.
Munn captioned a photo of her and Specter, who also had a young child, “These proud moms can’t believe they got out of the house and into ‘outside’ clothes.”
Munn has used social media to share the ups and downs of motherhood. She recently shared an Instagram post revealing that Malcolm had thrown up in her hair, just hours after she had it done.
The Newsroom alum also opened up about some of the struggles that come with motherhood — even when one is happy. In March, she got candid with her Instagram followers, writing in a post, "Post Partum life right now: Everyone's asleep except me. Been wearing the same sweatshirt for three days (I think, maybe more?) I'm pretty sure that's spit-up on my shirt. I'm so happy and at the same time I'm struggling (weird to feel both simultaneously but grateful to have all the happiness to keep me afloat.”
One particular difficulty Munn faced was with breastfeeding. On Instagram, she recalled struggling to find the right thing that worked for her, writing, “2 lactation consultants, lactation soups, liters of coconut water, nipple ointments, heating pads to increase circulation, 3 breastfeeding pillows, lactation, teas, gummies, vitamins, cookies, skin to skin, 3 different breast pumps. I even wore this device filled with formula around my neck with tubes taped to my nipple so I could stimulate milk production while giving my baby the nutrients he needs"
