Olivia Munn mocks Meghan Markle's outspoken half-sister, Samantha: 'She's real angry'
She may be promoting her new film, The Predator, but not even Olivia Munn can escape royal fever.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier, Munn let slip that the writer and director of her sci-fi action flick, Shane Black, allegedly once dated Samantha Markle. Markle (or Samantha Grant, as she is sometimes known) is the older half-sister of the Duchess of Sussex and familiar for attacking the new royal’s character in several explosive interviews.
Case in point: Earlier this week Markle claimed that if their father, Thomas Markle Sr., died, Meghan would be to blame.
Munn, for one, isn’t impressed. The actress called Markle “really crazy” as she joked that Black should rekindle his old flame.
“Shane Black used to date Samantha Markle, the really crazy sister,” Munn claimed. “That is amazing. Shane Black and Samantha Markle. I think we should reunite them.
“I think she’s single, I think he’s single. He could be Prince Harry’s brother-in-law. Who doesn’t want to make that happen? And maybe Samantha would calm down. She’s real angry. She says a lot of crazy stuff in the press.”
While the elder Markle may very well be prepping a response to those comments, the 38-year-old Munn said she had no interest in following Meghan’s Hollywood-to-Buckingham-Palace path.
“I don’t want to give up my career,” Munn told Frazier. “I want my friends to marry princes. When you’re a royal, you have to give things up.”
That’s not to say she isn’t a fan of the royals — or at least of Meghan. During a recent trip to London, the actress and a friend re-created the now-famous photo of a teenage Meghan posing outside Buckingham Palace.
