Olivia Rodrigo went retro to the “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” question-and-answer on Wednesday in Los Angeles, wearing in a polka dot Alessandra Rich minidress.

Rodrigo’s dress was from the designer’s spring 2024 ready-to-wear collection, which featured punk and metallic influences.
Rodrigo’s song “Can’t Catch Me Now” (cowritten by producer Daniel Nigro) appears on “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” soundtrack.
The film, which is a prequel to the 2012 movie “The Hunger Games,” was released in theaters in November.
In December, “Can’t Catch Me Now” made the Original Song Oscar shortlist, curated by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. This means Rodrigo is eligible to secure an Oscar at the Academy Awards 2024 in March.
To celebrate that feat, Rodrigo embraced another vintage look at the Governors Awards 2024 — a black strapless Yves Saint Laurent gown
