Olivia Wilde bares it all in True Botanicals campaign: ‘I feel more confident in my own skin than ever’
Oliva Wilde is thriving in her 30s.
The Booksmart director, 37, has spent the past five years as a spokesperson for the sustainable skin care brand True Botanicals, and recently posed nude and unretouched for the brand's latest campaign. She shared that the company’s products — which she described as "sumptuous, decadent and luxurious" — not only confirm that "sustainability is sexy," but have helped her feel empowered.
"I'm in my late 30s, have had two babies, and I feel more confident in my own skin than ever," Wilde, who shares her two children with her former partner Jason Sudeikis, explained, per the brand's press release. "My body has done so much for me and gotten me this far, and so why wouldn't I spoil myself with this luxurious skincare that’s also good for me and the planet?"
The House alum, who began her career as an actress, has also found confidence sitting in the director’s chair. Her highly anticipated new film, the thriller Don’t Worry Darling, stars Black Widow’s Florence Pugh and Wilde’s real-life partner Harry Styles and is set to hit theaters next year.
Of becoming a double threat, Wilde told People last year, "The fluidity within those positions is so liberating if you take advantage of it. I think many actresses are not encouraged to take advantage of that fluidity. The doors are open. It’s not actually a wall. It’s like a beaded curtain, you just have to walk through it. I feel so inspired and energized by that realization for myself. I’m really lucky that I get to be doing this now. It just shows, also, that you can find your ‘why’ at any age. It feels like I found my truth."
