A One Direction Mini-Reunion Might Be Happening Thanks To Shawn Mendes
Shawn Mendes might become an unofficial member of One Direction thanks to a possible new collaboration.
Niall Horan and Shawn Mendes caused a major fan freakout when they announced that they would possibly be collaborating with each other on a new song. Shawn has been teasing new music on his Instagram story with videos from the studio.
Niall was originally asked by a fan if he was planning to work with Shawn on a possible song and he said, "We’re going to try."

Shawn later replied with, "We ARE going to!," and Niall basically made it official by replying, "let's do it then."

Of course, fans have been freaking out over the possible One Direction reunion and have even asked if they could also invite Harry and Louis.

Shawn will be performing at the 2019 Grammy Awards, where he is also nominated for 2 awards. There's no word on whether Liam and Niall will be there, but if there was any place to announce a new collaboration, the Grammys would be perfect!
Liam and Niall are not the only artists Shawn is planning to work with. He recently announced that he is working on a sequel to his duet, "I Know What You Did Last Summer," with Camila Cabello.
There's still no word on when Shawn's new album will be coming out, but with his tour starting soon, it looks like there might be a bit of a wait until he releases new music again.
