One reason Kelly Ripa’s figure is so fantastic
Ever wonder how Kelly Ripa keeps her killer bod when she isn’t hosting her successful morning show? We have all the answers in this week’s episode of Off Season.
47-year-old Ripa is a TV host, actress, mom, and overall badass boss lady. While everyone knows the fitness enthusiast isn’t afraid to try unique workouts on air, not everyone knows the Live With Kelly and Ryan host is an avid ballet dancer.

She’s been practicing ballet since she was 3 years old, and her first professional TV gig was as a dancer. “I was a ballet dancer for 13 years and have the feet to prove it,” she told Dance Magazine.
The TV host has even displayed her dancing skills on her show, and went to an audition of The Nutcracker while live on air.
So how does ballet keep Ripa in shape? According to Livestrong, in a single 90-minute ballet class, the average person will burn around 525 calories. The classical dance form is also an effective full-body workout that creates long, lean muscles and helps you improve balance and posture.
Ripa stepped behind the camera to produce a ballet reality series with the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. She told Dance, “I have so much admiration for all dancers and the work that goes into their craft. When we had the opportunity to shine a spotlight on ballet and the prestigious Joffrey Ballet School, we jumped at it (pun not intended).”
Looks like Ripa is really keeping us on our toes! Keep it up, girl.
