The One Thing Eli Manning Eats for Breakfast Every Single Morning
Eli Manning
Everyone who's anyone knows the name Eli Manning. And, if you don't, it's important that you reveal which rock you've been hiding under so that we can make sure to be there when the rapture comes. Through the years, the former New York Giants quarterback and two-time Super Bowl champ has had a much-celebrated career on the field and after his retirement in 2020 (four years after older brother Peyton did the same), has found success through many different ventures including hosting his own ESPN+ show, Eli's Places.
While the star player has had no problem keeping himself busy since throwing his last pigskin on the pro field, one thing he's never too busy for is family. And the best day to spend time with everyone happens to be Sunday in the Manning household.
Partnering with King's Hawaiian to let the world in on the Manning Family tradition, Eli — along with brother Peyton — is determined to show everyone why Slider Sunday is the absolute best way to so Sundays. And not just for football season.
"King's Hawaiian has been apart of our family for a long time," he told Parade. "Whether it's for a tailgate, for a backyard barbecue, or ending the weekend on a high note, the King's Hawaiian sliders are the way to go. So, we kind of started a new ritual called "Slider Sunday," where sometimes it's just me and my wife and our four kids, sometimes we invite other families and other kids in, and you have games on. But it's just about family, friends and food."

According to Eli, the newfound ritual includes a number of dishes that make for the perfect share over great conversation, but the main one that makes an appearance nearly every Sunday happens to be one that his wife, Abby, created for their family. Made with a full(!) bottle of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing, the Turkey Ranch Sliders seem to be a hit amongst their children and guests who pop by.
While Eli enjoys having the sliders almost weekly on the soon-to-be famous "Slider Sundays," there's something he eats every single morning before powering through his packed day: berries.
"I'm always trying to make breakfast at home, so I've got to have my raspberries and my blackberries," he said to Parade. "If my wife is going to the grocery store and asks if there's anything I need, I'm like "raspberries and blackberries" because I'm having them every morning for breakfast. I'm going to put it on some granola, I'm going to put it on oatmeal. It's kind of my staple to get me started."
When asked whether or not he has granola or oatmeal every morning with the berries, Eli clarified and noted that it's actual the latter that he pairs with the fruit each day.

"Oatmeal every morning. I might sprinkle some granola on top of that, but oatmeal. I had it this morning; that's my breakfast."
The reason why? He says it's due to the ease and quickness of preparing it. When his wife makes it for him, however, that's when all the stops are pulled out.
"If my wife every makes it for me, she's got honey on top, she does some cinnamon, she mixes it with almond milk. It's tasty, but it's too much going on for me. I like to keep it simple, keep it quick," he joked.
So, if you're looking to have the strength, energy, and power that Eli Manning has been boasting for years, adding some oatmeal into your day just might be the thing you're looking for.
