Oprah Is Obsessed With These Two Ugly Sandals That Are "a Dream to Wear," and Honestly, We Want Both

The pool slide phenomenon lives on — at least that's what Oprah thinks. The viral cloud slides that were all over TikTok this summer (and on everyone in Hollywood's feet shortly thereafter) are apparently one of her favorite things. Not one but two puffy slides are on her Favorite Things list of 2021.
Oprah's list this year is not only bigger than usual, but also comfier than usual, too. One slide wasn't good enough for Oprah; she just had to go ahead and name two. Granted, the last almost-two years were like the golden era for slip-on slides. Between that, sneakers, and Ugg boots, our feet had it pretty easy compared to the rest of us.

If you never got in on the trend, consider this your time, and now you've got Oprah's seal of approval, which matters more than some might care to admit. We get it: We wait all year for this list, so when Oprah says these slippers, one by Roam and another by APL, are essentially like walking on pillow-like clouds, we listen and add to cart.
Oprah's vision for the APL lusso slides involves wearing them home after an intense workout class. She calls them a "post-workout treat for feet" and that makes us want to immediately book a Pure Barre class so we can be spotted in these afterwards. APL is run by twin brothers known for athletic shoes, but Oprah says these leather slides stand out because of the "special contouring that hugs your soles." If you have a partner, they do come in unisex sizing, so everyone can match as well, and they're the perfect couples present.
As for Roam's The Puffy slide, it looks exactly how it sounds. Oprah also swears its comfort lives up to its name, and describes these slides as a "dream to wear." Allegedly they have a "pillowy cushion that's been sculpted for your feet." Not to mention they're vegan, and have moisture-wicking neoprene footbeds so you can truly wear them year-round in hotter temperatures as well.
Thanks to Oprah, we have an alternative to Ugg boots this season, and more of a reason to truly try out the infamous socks-with-sandals look that's suddenly cool again. If we were going to break any fashion rules, it feels like it should at least be with Oprah-approved slides, right?
