Oprah Skips the Red Carpet at the Grammys After Opening Up About Ozempic Use
Oprah Winfrey
Oprah is confidently strutting her stuff!
The billionaire media mogul stepped out for the 66th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 4, held at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Calif., wearing a dazzling black and silver sequined skirt suit.
During the star-studded event, The Butler actress skipped the red carpet, but she posed for a few photographs next to her table, including one with her BFF Gayle King.
She shined in the striped co-ord, which also featured a beaded design along the blazer's edge, and tucked her stocking-clad legs into a pair of black pumps.
The newly-minted 70-year-old, who celebrated her milestone birthday just days ago on Jan. 29, defied aging with her beauty look, opting for a high ponytail paired with bold lashes and a neutral lip, pulling everything together perfectly.
Meanwhile, King wore a sparkling champagne-colored jumpsuit with a matching floor-length duster. She left her hair to curl around her chin and completed the look with a coordinated eyeshadow and gold pumps.
Oprah is slated to present at this year's ceremony, along with Meryl Streep, Christina Aguilera, Lenny Kravitz, Lionel Richie, Maluma, Mark Ronson and more.
Winfrey's latest string of red carpet appearances come on the heels of the O Magazine namesake opening up about partially having Ozempic to thank for her recently-slimmed down figure, as she confirmed use of the popular diabetes/weight loss medication to assist with weight management.
"I was actually recommending it to people long before I was on it myself," she told People in December. As was previously reported, she continued to recall her past "shame" regarding her weight and use of the drug, before declaring, "The fact that there's a medically approved prescription for managing weight and staying healthier, in my lifetime, feels like relief, like redemption, like a gift, and not something to hide behind and once again be ridiculed for."
Additionally, Winfrey made sure to point out that the drug is only part of the equation in maintaining her physical appearance, stating, "If I’m not also working out and vigilant about all the other things, it doesn’t work for me."
