Oreo lovers, rejoice—there are a few new releases on the horizon for 2024!
The snack brand is heading into the new year with the debut of three different products, adding to their already extensive lineup of flavored cookie offerings.
According to "junk food news" Instagram account candyhunting, Oreo shared with them the news that "new Black & White (chocolate & vanilla) flavor creme Oreos, new Golden Gluten Free Oreos, and 'new' (seemingly returning with a different formulation) Peanut Butter Oreo Cakesters are hitting shelves in January."
Fans in the comment section expressed a variety of emotions regarding the products to come—from excitement and happiness to disappointment and even disgust.
"Ooooohhhh. You had me at the black and white flavor," one said, while another agreed, "FINALLLYYYY GF golden !!"
Meanwhile, some social media users called for the return of a few other beloved flavors, with fans writing things like, "If McDonald’s can bring back the snack wrap then Oreo can bring back the Reese’s Oreos as well! THERE IS HOPE!!! ????," and "Oreo bringing backing everything but the golden with chocolate fill (not nutella)."
"Blueberry pie is all we're asking for," someone else begged.
On the other hand, the teased newcomers didn't seem so appetizing to a few others, who didn't hold back while communicating their disdain. "Peanut butter Oreo Cakesters doesn't seem like something I'd want to try," one admitted.
With the cult following Oreo has amassed since its launch in 1912, the development of new flavors always seems to get a reaction out of fans.
In October, cookie lovers were more than pleased to learn about the return of the festive, limited-edition Hot Cocoa flavor for the holidays.
