Generate Key Takeaways

When Oscar Langburne has something to say, he says it. When he wants to put out an edit that is just pure highlights of his surfing and the places he visits, he does just that. In a social media market where athletes can be tempted to pigeonhole themselves with one style or one platform for their creativity, it’s refreshing to see a guy like Langburne just kind of pop up with whatever floats his boat from time to time.

The latest sampling of that comes in the Australian surfer’s How Are Things on the West Coast?, a 15-minute segment that follows a 2023 trip out to California and Central America. Well, not so much California. That was just a pit stop in SoCal to pick up a grip of new boards that he’d be taking with him to Central America.

Last year, Langburne jumped on board with Christenson Surfboards — a new stop after leaving Haydenshapes and then a short stint with The Onboard Store. Clearly back into the swing of working one-on-one with a shaper and riding custom shapes again, Langburne’s visit to the West Coast produced a whole new quiver for his Central American surf trip.
