‘Over the Moon’ Prince Harry Gives Update on Meghan Markle & Baby Boy Sussex
ICYMI: Baby Boy Sussex is officially here and, not surprisingly, Prince Harry is thrilled.
The 34-year-old Duke of Sussex opened up about the new addition to his and wife Meghan Markle’s family today during an on-camera interview in Windsor, England.
“I’m very excited to announce that Meghan and myself had a baby boy early this morning,” he began, while smiling ear to ear in the video below.
The prince went on to confirm he and his wife of nearly a year welcomed “a very healthy boy,” and that “Mother and baby are doing incredibly well.”
So how is he feeling about becoming a new dad? “It’s been the most amazing experience I could ever possibly imagine,” Prince Harry mused. “How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension. But we’re both absolutely thrilled and grateful for all the love and support of everyone out there. It’s been amazing, so just wanted to share this with everybody.”
The duke says they’re “still thinking about names,” although he points out they had some extra time because Baby Boy Sussex was “a little bit overdue.” He explained that picking a name will be the next parenting “bit” he and the 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex dive into.
Lucky for us, Prince Harry also revealed when we’ll be able to see the family of three together for the first time: “We’ll be seeing you guys in two days’ time, as planned, as a family to be able to share it with you guys so everyone can see the baby,” he said.
And, as if the pure joy on his face wasn’t indicative enough, Harry finished by saying, “This little thing is absolutely to die for, so I’m over the moon.”
Better place your baby name and godparent bets now, people.
