A.P.C. RTW Spring 2018

A.P.C.’s Jean Touitou chose to show what he could do with denim for spring, deconstructing jeans and jackets and putting them together in new ways. For added femininity, the rigid blues were contrasted with Liberty prints, as in a combo of a pretty floral dress in uncharacteristically bright pink, purple and green styled with an apron skirt design. A bright blue top with bell sleeves looked fresh, worn tone-on-tone with a belted below-the-knee skirt. More boy-meets-girl were a pair of paint-splashed jeans, a reprise from the brand’s men’s presentation in June. “After 25 years of stubbornness and radicalism A.P.C., raw denim is still here. But the time has come for the inevitable historical compromise! There are now more feminine styles, stonewashing and even some stretch denim,” the brand printed on an indigo tote worn around the neck like a message board to knock the message home.
