Here’s What to Pack for Your Last Ski Adventure of the Season
Recently planning to pack for a work seminar ski trip in Switzerland took careful consideration. Not necessarily the worst dilemma to have, but mornings are filled with indoor meetings that you need to look business appropriate for and the afternoons call for sporty ski gear to brave the cold winter winds. Evenings jump back to dressier attire for work function dinners-it's a lot.
Packing for a trip like this can be a daunting experience. The trick is trying not to overpack, as it can end-up costing you more than the original price of your airline ticket-yikes. The truth is, it's very freeing to not get weighed-down while traveling, which can be tough enough on your mind and body. Planning-out what's practical and essential to your trip will make the journey that much better all around.
I've definitely done my share of overpacking, as I want to be prepared for all occasions both formal and more casual. So for this trip, I mapped it out and stuck to bare essentials that I felt could lend themselves to not only traveling, but all the events, activities, and obligations in-between.
What I focused on was determining the key items I would need to wear based on the itinerary and packed those pieces that would easily work well together and be versatile for varying occasions. It actually worked and I can truthfully say my trip was that much more enjoyable having kept it simple.
These nine pieces were essential to conquering my trip with style and most items would be applicable to other trips I have coming-up in the near future as well. Consider these when finding your core pieces for an enjoyable adventure.
