How to get paid $1K to taste Trader Joe’s pumpkin spice products

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Do you love pumpkin spice and fall flavors? If so, you could get paid $1,000 to try all of Trader Joe’s new fall products.

FinanceBuzz, a financial tips and recommendations site, is once again looking for the right candidate to fill a seasonal role as a “Pumpkin Spice Pundit” — yes, you read that correctly.

Whoever is selected will be tasked with tasting and then evaluating the plethora of fall-inspired foods that line the shelves of Trader Joe’s stores throughout the fall season. This includes items like pumpkin waffles, cinnamon rolls and even drinks like pumpkin-spiced ginger brew.

The “Pumpkin Spice Pundit” will rate over 20 pumpkin-flavored foods on criteria like how difficult it was to make and how delicious it tasted. The person will be required to write a brief description of their experience for each product, as well as take photographs.

Additionally, the “Pumpkin Spice Pundit” will use market research to help shoppers decide which foods to budget for and which to skip, as explained by FinanceBuzz.

The person selected for the job will get paid $1,000, plus all expenses will be covered for the costs of the fall products.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and based in the U.S. Prospective pundits must fill out an online application before the Sept. 10 deadline, which cuts off at 11:59 p.m. EST. FinanceBuzz said the chosen candidate will be selected just three days later.

Back in 2022, Sacramento, California resident Lara Klaman was chosen to take on the task. A look back at her full review can be found here.
