Palace Says the Queen Remains in "Good Health" Following Prince Charles Testing Positive for Coronavirus
Buckingham Palace says the Queen is in "good health" following Prince Charles testing positive for coronavirus.
Queen Elizabeth remains in good health following Prince Charles testing positive for coronavirus. According to a statement from Buckingham Palace, "Her Majesty The Queen remains in good health. The Queen last saw The Prince of Wales briefly on the morning of 12th March and is following all the appropriate advice with regard to her welfare. We will not be commenting further."
Royal reporter Rebecca English adds that "Charles’s doctor thinks, conservatively, he could not have been infectious before March 13 but still raises serious questions as he saw his mother on March 12, briefly. Buckingham Palace say the Queen is in ‘good health’ though."
The original statement from Prince Charles' office explains that “He has been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health and has been working from home throughout the last few days as usual.”
Charles' wife Duchess Camilla tested negative for coronavirus, and the couple is currently self-isolating at their home in Scotland. Per Prince Charles' office "It is not possible to ascertain from whom the Prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks."
According to royal reporter Chris Ship, Charles has spoken to both William and Harry.
Wishing Charles the speediest recovery and the Queen continued good health!
