Palace Source Says Prince Charles Had a “Very Emotional” Meeting With His Granddaughter Lilibet
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made only one official appearance during Queen Elizabeth’s Jubilee earlier this month, but they did get a chance to spend some time away from the spotlight with Harry’s family.
Things have been pretty tense among the royals since Meghan and Harry moved to America, but according to a source, their Jubilee reunion was…pretty great!
Per The Sun, a senior royal source said that Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla had an amazing time with Harry and Meghan and that their first meeting with Lilibet was super emotional.
“It was fantastic to see them. It was wonderful to have them back in Britain,” the source said. “The prince and the duchess were absolutely thrilled to see them. The prince, of course, hasn’t seen his grandson Archie for a bit of time and so it was very, very, very special to have some time with him. He hadn’t met Lili, his granddaughter, and so to meet her was very emotional, a very, very wonderful thing.”
Great to hear it, but this report slightly contradicts what royal expert Christopher Andersen said on the Royally Us podcast (via OK!): that Charles and Harry’s meeting was “perfunctory,” there was “no real breakthrough,” and there “were no touchy-feely vibes coming back in his direction.”
Obviously, no one was in the room with them, so hopefully Charles and Harry’s vibes were, in fact, good and this feud is finally (fiiinallyyyyy) buried for good this time.
