Pamela Anderson Accuses Tim Allen of Flashing His Penis at Her in the '90s
In her upcoming memoir Love, Pamela, actress Pamela Anderson alleges that she was subjected to indecent exposure by TV star Tim Allen during her time working with him on the popular '90s sitcom Home Improvement.
"On the first day of filming, I walked out of my dressing room, and Tim was in the hallway in his robe." she wrote, in an extract made available to Variety. "He opened his robe and flashed me quickly — completely naked underneath. He said it was only fair, because he had seen me naked. Now we’re even. I laughed uncomfortably."
Anderson would have been 23 years old when she was took the role of Lisa the Tool Girl in 1991, when when she states that the incident occurred. Prior to being cast in the show, she had modeled for Playboy, which it is implied is what Allen had been referring to in his alleged remarks. Anderson played Lisa for two seasons before leaving Home Improvement to star in Baywatch, the show which turned her into an international sex symbol.
Allen, who is 69 and was 37 at the time, has responded to Anderson's claims in the book by denying that the incident ever took place. "No, it never happened," he said in a statement. "I would never do such a thing."
Love, Pamela, and its accompanying Netflix documentary Pamela, A Love Story, ostensibly mark the first time that Anderson has told her own story, although the narrative of her life and career has been spun many times, most recently in the Hulu series Pam & Tommy, which dramatized the leak of the sex tape she made with her then-husband Tommy Lee. The series was made without Anderson's involvement or permission. Anderson's thoughts on the show, which starred Lily James and Sebastian Stan, are apparently included in the book.
