Paramount+ Drops Teaser Trailer for 'Star Trek: Strange New Worlds'

Paramount+ has released the first official trailer for its latest spinoff series, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

The series follows Captain Christopher Pike, played by Anson Mount, throughout his brief sting as James T. Kirk's predecessor as commander of the USS Enterprise. The teaser shows Pike being called back into service as he is isolated on Snowy Earth. A narrator's monologue can be heard in the trailer, "Our first visit from the stars is always the province of children's stories and science fiction until one day, it isn't."

The new series sees Ethan Peck returning as Spock, while Rebecca Romijn serves as Number One. Celia Rose Gooding plays Uhura while Jess Bush assumes the role of Nurse Chapel and Babs Olusanmokun is Doctor M'Benga. The new Star Trek series joins the ranks of Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Lower Decks, Star Trek: Prodigy and Star Trek: Picard to exclusively stream on Paramount+.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds premieres on the streamer on May 5.

Elsewhere in entertainment, the new Morbius teaser trailer focuses on Jared Leto's journey to find a cure.
