Paris Jackson left Dior show because she was 'heartbroken' over brand's treatment of horses
Paris Jackson is setting the record straight on why she suddenly left Dior’s 2019 cruise show on Friday.
The 20-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson posted a statement on Twitter denying reports that she had “stormed out” in a rage. The model did, however, confirm that she left because she was “taken by surprise” and a “little heartbroken” over the treatment of the horses in the French label‘s equestrian-themed show. According to Jackson, the show — which was inspired by Mexico’s female escaramuzo riders — featured animals who were “branded and whipped.”
furthermore, i was not ‘enraged,’ just taken by surprise and a little heartbroken. and i have no doubt that all high end fashion brands will soon switch over to no-fur and anti animal cruelty, as that seems to be the pattern here. and we should all be very excited about that!

Though she’s a passionate advocate for animal rights, Jackson ended her message on an optimistic note, expressing hope that fashion brands will take steps to move past “animal cruelty.”
The outfits of the escaramuza horsewomen reimagined by Maria Grazia Chiuri for Cruise 2019 have a layered symbolism: "The shapes are really Dior, pretty and light, but at the same time they are also strong." See all about the collection https://t.co/WViBTc3oyo!#DiorCruise pic.twitter.com/QE2hjt3W2f

Fans are cheering Jackson for staying true to her beliefs and sticking up for the animals used in the show. Meanwhile, Dior has yet to respond to the controversy.
