Pink is the presiding color in the space, which is accessible through a monumental door (think “Alice in Wonderland”).
Taking center stage inside will be an XXXL Nina Illusion bottle. People can order coffee and pink pastries, or lounge about in armchairs. An “infinity room” allows for selfie snaps with Nina Illusion flacons serving as background decor. They can share the shots with the hashtag #ninaillusion. Gifts, including fashion accessories and fragrances, are to be given out on departure.
Nina Ricci has partnered with Sephora on this tie-in. The perfumery chain has an outpost just next door to the café, and for those buying Nina Illusion, their bottles can be engraved at the Illusion Café.
The vegan eau de parfum, created by Firmenich perfumers Olivier Cresp and Nicolas Bonneville, includes notes of orange flower, raspberry and patchouli. Hugo Kreit, who codesigns Nina Ricci’s jewelry, dressed the iconic Nina bottle with a pink flower and green satin cord for Nina Illusion.
Nina Ricci was founded in 1932 and has in its portfolio scents including the famed L’Air du Temps, from 1948. The brand is owned by Puig.
