'Party of Five' Cast: Where Are They Now?
Plenty of family dramas have come and gone over the years, but for those of us who remember the ’90s, few clans were as captivating as the Salingers on Party of Five. The Fox series chronicled the lives of five siblings left to fend for themselves after the deaths of their parents in a car accident. At 24, eldest sibling Charlie (Matthew Fox) became the de facto head of the family, while his brothers and sisters had to learn how to cope with adolescence without their mom and dad.
While the main actors on the original Party of Five (there was a short-lived reboot) were all relatively young during the show’s six-year run, they’ve kept in touch as adults, even as their careers went in different directions. “Neve [Campbell] and I see each other probably more than any of the others,” Scott Wolf, who played Bailey, said during a HuffPost Live interview in 2015. “I’m still in touch with Matthew here and there, with Lacey [Chabert]—I can’t believe how little she was when we started the show. She was, like, 11 years old, and I feel like she’s like a sister. We were very much a second family to each other.”

Chabert, for her part, has said that she got even closer to her former castmates after welcoming her first child in 2016. “Neve Campbell, Scott Wolf and Paula Devicq—we all keep in close touch,” she told Fox News in 2018. “Especially now that I have the baby, I want to share her with my extended family. And I do consider them part of my extended family. You can’t work with a group of people for that long and not feel incredibly connected to them.”

Neve Campbell (Julia)
Two years after Party of Five premiered, Neve Campbell starred as Sidney Prescott in Scream and immediately cemented her reputation as one of the best final girls in horror movie history. She reprised the role in the first four Scream sequels but exited the franchise in 2022 over a salary dispute. On the TV side of things, Campbell has starred as Maggie McPherson on Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer since 2022.
Lacey Chabert (Claudia)
Youngest Salinger daughter Lacey Chabert, who was only 12 when Party of Five debuted, went on to star as iconic Toaster Strudel heiress Gretchen Weiners in 2004’s Mean Girls. She’s since become a queen of Hallmark Channel movies, having appeared in more than 30 films for the network. In 2023 alone, she starred in three installments of the channel’s Wedding Veil series as well as the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries production The Dancing Detective: A Deadly Tango. Later this year, she'll team up with Wolf for the Hallmark Christmas movie A Merry Scottish Christmas.

Jacob Smith (Owen)
Several different actors played the Salingers’ baby brother Owen over the course of the series, but Jacob Smith is perhaps the most memorable—he was Owen for Seasons 4 and 5. Smith went on to appear in Hansel and Gretel, Cheaper by the Dozen and its sequel, but he stopped acting in 2006 and lives a seemingly private life.
Paula Devicq (Kirsten)
Paula Devicq played Kirsten, a nanny to Owen who eventually became involved with eldest Salinger sibling Charlie—and then married him. Devicq later starred in Runaway Bride, Rescue Me and Arbitrage. She was last seen in the 2015 family film The Amazing Wizard of Paws.
Scott Grimes (Will)
Following his turn as Bailey’s BFF, Scott Grimes played Dr. Archie Morris on ER and racked up credits in shows including Shameless and Justified. Since 2017, he has played Lt. Gordon Malloy on the sci-fi comedy The Orville, and you can currently see him as part of the massive ensemble cast in Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer.
Jeremy London (Griffin)
After his stint as Julia’s boyfriend (and then ex-husband), Jeremy London starred as Chandler on 7th Heaven. In 2022, about four years after a 2018 arrest for domestic violence, he starred in the sci-fi disaster movie Moon Crash, which chronicles a team’s attempt to save Earth after a piece of the moon breaks off and starts hurtling toward the planet’s surface. These days, you can catch him on his YouTube channel, London's Most Wanted, where he is often seen cooking.
Jennifer Love Hewitt (Sarah)
Jennifer Love Hewitt appeared as Bailey’s on-and-off girlfriend Sarah starting in Season 2. Like Campbell, she went on to become a scream queen, starring in I Know What You Did Last Summer and its sequel. Since 2018, she has starred as 911 operator Maddie Buckley on the medical drama 9-1-1.
Michael Goorjian (Justin)
Michael Goorjian played another one of Julia’s off-and-on boyfriends throughout the series. He’s since made appearances in Alias, Monk, Covert Affairs, Lucifer and more. Most recently, he starred in The Wizard of Lies, a 2017 HBO movie starring Robert De Niro as disgraced financier Bernie Madoff.
Jennifer Aspen (Daphne)
Before settling down with Kirsten, Charlie had a baby with part-time stripper Daphne, who was played by Jennifer Aspen. Aspen has since landed roles on 9-1-1, Sharp Objects, Scream Queens, The Good Doctor and Grey’s Anatomy. In 2021, she starred in the Hallmark Channel movie You Had Me at Aloha.
