The Patriots made Tom Brady a massive birthday cake, but fans think he probably didn’t have a bite
It’s Tom Brady‘s birthday and the 41-year-old was gifted an enormous cake by his New England Patriots teammates. Still, the internet wonders: Did the health nut indulge?
Per an Instagram post by the NFL team, which featured an impressive video of the recipe, the oversized confection required 2,000 eggs, 250 pounds of sugar, 100 pounds of milk, and “41 years of greatness.” To top it off, it was in the shape of the number 12 in honor of Brady’s team jersey.

But the edible artistry was overlooked due to concern that the dessert violated the pro’s organic diet. Lots puzzled over whether the cake was permitted under the athlete’s TB12 meal plan, which includes electrolyte water, fruit-and-nut smoothies, and alkalizing foods. Several snarked that the cake lacked avocado, the main ingredient in Brady’s favorite ice cream.
One person hypothesized that Brady’s wife and supermodel Gisele Bundchen, who follows a similarly strict diet wouldn’t “allow” her husband to enjoy his cake.
He’s only going to eat that if it’s made from avocado 🥑

I certainly hope so. Hopefully the baker didn’t use nightshades or tomatoes.

I recall Brady saying he doesn't eat things with white sugar or flour, so if the cake is TB12 approved, I think I'd pass on taking a slice.

Too bad his wife won’t let him eat any of that cake

He’s definitely not touching that cake… unless that’s tofu 🤔 RT @SInow: The Pats are celebrating Tom Brady's 41st birthday in style https://t.co/Umqog4C7w6 pic.twitter.com/waNHCY0pbz

Will he even take a bite of it though? Is it gluten free? Is it dairy free? Is it sugar free?

In 2016, Brady and Bundchen’s private chef Tom Campbell told Boston.com that aside from the couple consuming mainly a diet of vegetables, they avoid white flour, iodized salt, white sugar, MSG, and olive oil, subbing the latter with coconut oil.
The couple does enjoy the occasional cheat meal. “I’ve just did [sic] this quinoa dish with wilted greens,” said Campbell. “I use kale or Swiss chard or beet greens. I add garlic, toasted in coconut oil. And then some toasted almonds, or this cashew sauce with lime curry, lemongrass, and a little bit of ginger. That’s just comfort food for them.”
Last week, Brady was criticized for not having a sculpted body, when photos of him and Gisele on the beach in Costa Rica hit social media, so clearly, the guy can’t win. Happy birthday, Tom!
