In October of last year, British designer Paul Andrew was tapped as the new creative director at Salvatore Ferragamo, where he'd served as women's footwear design director for the previous year. But lest you think his new role will mean he'll neglect his own brand, don't go panicking - in fact, it's quite the opposite. Today, Andrew will answer pleas he's been getting from customers for years. He's launching custom shoes.

Shoe lovers can now customize the three bestselling Paul Andrew styles - the flat Rhea 15 slingback, the kitten heel Rhea 55 slingback, and the ball heel Ankara slingback. You can go online and hand select from thirty different materials, like, say, rose suede or rainbow python. A different tone can be selected for the shoe's vamp, or upper portion, slingback, and heel tip; a three-letter monogram stamped onto the sole is a courtesy with each pair. And along with the customization comes crocodile, an entirely new material for Paul Andrew.

"Since I started my brand five years ago, I’ve consistently had a flow of requests for custom shoes," Andrew told ELLE.com "I’m thrilled at the idea of women making my designs their own. Shoes are incredibly personal, and this technology is a meaningful way to engage with my customers.”

The customization option is available exclusively on Farfetch. If you click around the permutations, the starter version would cost around $690. As for the most expensive? The Ankara with a Swarovski orb heel and crocodile vamp, for $2,395. Yum.
