Paul Rudd Reveals His Diet for 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania'
PAUL RUDD IS all business when it comes to sticking to his role-related diets. And the results speak for themselves.
When he's not in role-prepping mode, however, it's about "staying disciplined to a point," he says in a new "Eat Like" video for Men's Health. "You gotta live your life."
When Rudd first landed his role in Marvel's Ant-Man in 2015, he had to re-evaluate what food and training meant to him. "Fitness and nutrition became the centerpiece of the day, and everything else fit in around it," he says.
Diet is harder for him than physical training, but once he gets into a groove, neither is "that difficult". It all comes down to discipline for the . Once he's in his role-prepping routine, it's easy for him to stay on track. Once he breaks away from it, though, it's difficult to jump back in.
While he won't allow himself a cheat day, he will happily indulge in a cheat meal. It helps him mentally, and he enjoys that food in a way he didn't prior to really focusing on eating healthy.
When he is looking for a cheat meal, his Achille's heel includes french fries ("God's greatest creation", as he says), pizza, and guacamole. His nutrition advice: "cut yourself a break" when you pig out, but then jump back into being healthy.
Beginning is the hardest part, he says. Two weeks is his sweet spot. Once you get through the first two weeks, your body becomes conditioned to the new routine and living healthier will be a breeze, he says
