Paul Walker's Daughter Honors His Legacy With 'Fast X' Cameo
Meadow Walker is taking over the reins from her father, Paul Walker, in the Fast & Furious film franchise.
The 24-year-old is honoring her late father with a cameo in the upcoming film, Fast X, which will be her first on-screen appearance in the franchise's history.
Meadow shared a photo of a film monitor taken during production for Fast X, showing the model on what looks like an airplane, saying, "A preview of my cameo in Fast X."
She went on, "The first fast was released when I was one year old! I grew up on set watching my father, Vin [Diesel], Jordana [Brewster], Michelle [Rodriguez], Chris ["Ludacris" Bridges] and more on the monitors. Thanks to my dad, I was born into the fast family. I can’t believe now I get to be up there too. With those who have been around to see me grow up."
Meadow also thanked Louis Leterrier, the director of Fast X, writing, "It feels like you’ve been part of the family since we started, I’m happy it’s just the beginning."
"Special shoutout to my dad’s best friend who is now my best friend @bbirtell, this wouldn’t have been possible without you. I am so blessed to be able to honor my father’s legacy and share this with him forever xI love you all so much," she concluded.
Diesel commented, "????," while Scott Eastwood, who appeared in 2017's The Fate of the Furious and will be in Fast X, wrote, "He was so proud of you!!!! He is smiling about this right now!!"
Aside from this image, there are no further details about Meadow's cameo role in the film or whether or not she will appear in future Fast & Furious movies.
Walker starred in the franchise from the start, first playing Brian O'Conner in The Fast and the Furious in 2001. The actor passed away in a car accident in 2013, when Meadow was 15 years old.
Now, a decade after his passing, Meadow is able to celebrate his life and follow in his footsteps in a very special way.
