Paul Walker's Daughter Pays Tribute to Her 'Guardian Angel' on His 50th Birthday
Paul Walker's daughter Meadow is commemorating what would have been the actor's 50th birthday with an endearing social media post dedicated to her "guardian angel" dad.
The Fast & Furious actor—who starred in the film franchise from its 2001 inception through its first six installments—was born on Sept. 12, 1973, and though he has since passed away, his only child, whom he shares with Rebecca Soteros, is keeping his memory alive.
In a tribute post shared to Instagram on the day of Walker's would-be half-century celebration, his now-24-year-old daughter, who was just 14 at the time of her dad's untimely and tragic death, remembered the "kind, humble, generous and caring soul," thanking him for the role he played in her life.
"Happy birthday to my guardian angel ?? Thank you for your love, guidance, friendship, sunshine and for raising me to see all of the beauty in the world. You are the most kind, humble, generous and caring soul I know. You taught me at a young age to always treat everyone with respect, to do good and to take care of our planet," she wrote in the caption of the throwback black-and-white post, before wrapping up with, "I love you and miss you every day."
The young woman, who carried on her father's legacy by appearing in a small role in the series' latest release, Fast X, later posted an additional set of images featuring the Takers actor on set of 2003's 2 Fast 2 Furious.
"One of my favorite photos of my dad from Fast. Icon. Legend," Meadow's caption read, as she announced the release of special merchandise to celebrate the late star's life: "For my dad’s 50th birthday, we’ve put this image on a limited edition @paulwalkerfdn t-shirt. All proceeds fuel the @paulwalkerfdn ?? Link is in my bio."
In the comment section, fans of the Eight Below actor flooded in with supportive messages.
"Still One of my favourite [sic] movies!!! Your dad must be so proud of you ????????," one wrote, as another proclaimed, "His spirit is eternal ??."
Several more simply sent their love as the family continues to mourn the major loss.
Paul Walker died on Nov. 30, 2013, in Los Angeles, in a disastrous single vehicle, high-speed car crash.
