Supermodel Paulina Porizkova just shared a no-makeup Instagram selfie of what she "actually looks like" at age 55 after she's just rolled out of bed, and it's refreshingly real.

"For all of you lovely complimentary peeps, this is what I actually look like," she wrote. "I think not bad for 55 and no interventions. But most certainly not 22. This is the first-thing-in-the morning me, no coffee and hair all accidentally waved from sleeping with it in a bun." She finished her caption with multiple hashtags: "#nofilters #nointerventions #notouchups #noretouching #betweenjloandbettywhite."

Paulina has been open about how she's approached aging as a model, and in NewBeauty last year, she said she hadn't yet gotten Botox or fillers, but enjoyed Ultherapy, a noninvasive way to firm areas like the chin, neck, brow, and décolleté. "Every day I look in the mirror and ask, 'Is today the day?'" she said.

Still, Paulina acknowledged that she found aging difficult, since so much of her modeling career depended on her appearance. "I’m emotionally delayed on all this stuff, because my life has been all about beauty," she explained. "I always had to be something very specific on the outside and maintain that because of my livelihood. I never got the chance to become full; I never had a chance to grow into just being a person."

Though she loves makeup, Paulina also told Elle that she wears less of it these days. "The older you get, the less makeup you should wear. It just starts looking sh*ttier and sh*ttier." Instead of doing a full face, she prefers mascara and false lashes, plus a sheer, cream-based SPF 50 foundation. To keep her skin clear and firm, she gets facials with esthetician Rachel Lowe.
